Later in 1724, Cheongdongseowon was demolished for the first time, but in the following year in 1725, Confucian scholars submitted a joint petition to the king for its reconstruction and it was thus rebuilt. Some 30 years after the first reconstruction, the mortuary tablet of Hanpogong Yi Geon-myeong, the second son of Mungangong, was additionally enshrined in 1755, and that of Byeongsan Yi Gwan-myeong, the eldest son of Mungangong, was enshrined in 1777. Then, in 1781, it was repaired for the first time. In the following year in 1782, the Cheondongseowon Myojeongbi Monument was erected based on the wish of the descendants and Confucian scholars.
The monument is 222cm hall, 97 wide and 26 thick. It is an important structure that sheds light on the circumstances of family clan shrines in the Naju area from the late Joseon Dynasty. The information on the history of Cheondongseowon and the engraving method employed on the monument are exceptional, and they are very useful to understanding the local culture of Naju.
