They are known to have been built for the ruling class, who had economic or political power. Out of the dolmens found in Korea, a cluster of some 30 dolmens discovered in the southern part of Naedong Village in Sinpo-ri are considered to have been best preserved and be most concentrated in terms of distribution. There is a mix of dolmens in varying sizes, and they all have supporting stones. The Sinpo-ri Dolmens were designated as Jeollanam-do Monument No. 135 in May 1990.”
