“Dolmens are representative megalithic tomb dating from the Bronze Age. They are known to have been built for the ruling class, who had economic or political power. Out of the dolmens found in Korea, a cluster of some 30 dolmens discovered in the southern part of Naedong Village in Sinpo-ri are considered to have been best preserved and be most concentrated in terms of distribution.
There is a mix of dolmens in varying sizes, and they all have supporting stones.
The Sinpo-ri Dolmens were designated as Jeollanam-do Monument No. 135 in May 1990.”
