The Geonchil Seated Amitabha Buddha at Jungnimsa Temple in Naju dating from the early Joseon period has had influences from the Buddha statue style of the late Goryeo period. This is why it is considered a highly valuable resource in researching the Buddha statue styles of the Joseon Dynasty. It has high historical and artistic value as one of the 15 geonchil Buddha statues that still exist today in Korea.
