The Information Network Village Project aims to introduce the high-speed Internet to isolated regions such as farming, fishing and mountainous villages, and to promote information content including e-commerce so as to close the information gap in the nation and to induce balanced national development by instilling a greater sense of community and reinforcing local competitiveness.
